Penny Chu is a Senior Director of Google's Ads Marketing Analytics team where she leverages insights, data science, machine learning, and rigorous experimentation to inform Google’s ads marketing efforts and drive growth of the Google Customer Solutions (GCS) business.
Prior to her current role at Google, Penny served as the Senior Director of Google’s Advanced Ads Measurement Technologies team where she worked closely with some of Google's biggest customers on their custom Ads measurement priorities. In this role, she led data scientists responsible for developing measurement solutions for Google's advertising products. She was particularly interested in incrementality measurement and geo-targeted experiments, as well as media mix modeling, attribution and custom measurement research.
Before joining Google, Penny was Director of Business Operations at JotSpot, which was acquired by Google, and she was also a technology investment banker at Credit Suisse First Boston where she worked on Google's IPO.
Penny has an MBA from Harvard Business School and dual Bachelor's degrees in Chemistry and Economics from Stanford University. She spent her childhood years in Ghana and speaks three dialects of Chinese. In her spare time, Penny enjoys traveling, cooking, baking, and needlepoint.
