Josephine Liang is a Finance Manager at CapitalG, supporting the firm across accounting, portfolio reporting, and deals. She approaches her work with an analytical mindset, always looking for smarter ways to use data and automation to improve how the team operates.

I like the truth that exists in numbers and the stories they help us tell. When the accounting is right, the data is clean, and the diligence is thorough, the rest of the firm can move faster and with greater confidence. I care about getting the details right and automating the repetitive work, so we can spend more time on the analysis that actually shapes decisions.

Before joining CapitalG in 2020, I spent time in PwC's Assurance practice, working with clients in the venture capital, pharmaceuticals, and life sciences industries. I am a CPA and hold a B.A. in Business Economics from UCLA. Outside of work, I love to spend my time hiking and backpacking in the Sierras, on my mat practicing yoga, in the studio metalsmithing, and reading.
