Brian Osimiri
Deputy General Counsel
Brian is a Deputy General Counsel at CapitalG, where he supports and advises the firm across venture capital financings, ongoing portfolio management, fund formation and liquidity events, including M&A and IPOs. A veteran of complex deal-making both in-house and in private practice, Brian thrives on partnering with companies across their entire lifecycle, turning sophisticated legal execution into a competitive advantage from early term sheets to public market or M&A exits.
I’m drawn to this work because practicing law in venture capital offers a rare full-lifecycle vantage point: rather than dropping in for an isolated transaction, I partner with companies across their entire growth arc. Every financing term sheet, cap table decision, and governance framework established today sets the stage for tomorrow's exit.
Prior to joining CapitalG, I developed my transactional background by doing private equity M&A at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, and then moved in-house to work on M&A and strategic corporate initiatives at Electronic Arts and Uber.
I earned my BA in Government from Dartmouth College and my JD from the University of Texas. Outside the office, I have called San Francisco home for over a decade, and you can usually find me experimenting in the kitchen, finding great live music, traveling, or enduring the emotional rollercoaster of being a Dallas Cowboys fan.
