Daniel Sarmiento

I build and maintain the data infrastructure CapitalG runs on. My day-to-day focus is on integrating external data sources, modeling key datasets, and automating workflows for our investment and platform teams. Good investment decisions depend on accurate data, so I make sure our technical foundation is dependable and built to scale.

I joined CapitalG in 2020 from Google, where I worked as a technical consultant supporting external data partners. I hold a master's degree in Information Systems Management from Carnegie Mellon University and an M.S. in Systems and Computer Engineering from the Universidad de los Andes in Colombia. Outside of work, I enjoy cooking, hiking, and spending time outdoors.
