Manmeet Gujral
Investment Team
Manmeet invests in AI, infrastructure, and frontier technology companies at CapitalG. A generalist by philosophy, Manmeet focuses on backing singular founders building market- and category-defining companies wherever they emerge.
I feel that company building is an expression of visceral belief in how the world should be, and that companies themselves are expressions of the founders’ DNA. Every generation is defined by a small group of founders who catalyze change, create new categories, and shape the world. Whether they are building software or satellites, drugs or robots, my ambition is to be a true thought partner and extension of the team to those select few. Today, I see the biggest scope for impact in AI and frontier technology.
Prior to CapitalG, I worked at the intersection of product and go-to-market at Tecton, an AI & ML infrastructure startup acquired by Databricks in 2025. Before that, I worked as a consultant at Bain & Company in San Francisco where I specialized in go-to-market strategy for technology companies. These experiences built the investment lens I use today: I believe product and go-to-market are inextricably linked and best built together, usually from the point of founding.
I grew up in Albany, New York, and studied Computer Science and Economics at Dartmouth, where I rowed on the varsity lightweight crew team and served as Alumni Class President. In 2026, I was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 and Business Insider's Rising Stars in Venture Capital. Today, I split my time between New York City and San Francisco, and hold strong opinions about the pizza in each.
