Osi Peters
Senior Director, Engineering, Map The World, Google Geo
Osi Peters is a Senior Director of Engineering for Map the World at Google Geo. He is responsible for technical strategy and execution of the Google teams that build StreetView cars and Aerial fleets, leveraging satellite imagery and cutting edge AI/ML research to build the geospatial map of the world. This map provides the geospatial data that powers products used by billions of users monthly on Google Maps, Search, and other flagship products.
Osi has over 25 years of experience in software engineering, big data, distributed systems, and AI/ML applications across a variety of industries, including on-demand manufacturing, travel, restaurant tech, and media.
Before joining Google in 2022, Osi was simultaneously VP of Data and Shared Services Engineering and Head of Analytics and Data Science/ML at TripAdvisor where he managed platform engineering teams and the data organizations across both TripAdvisor’s B2C and B2B businesses.
Osi is an active part-time angel investor with deep venture experience. He previously spent six years as core venture partner at Underscore VC.
