Over the course of a 35-year technology sales and marketing career, Tina Babbi has developed expertise partnering with executive teams to operationalize growth strategies quickly and efficiently. She is excited to offer this specialized expertise to CapitalG portfolio companies.
Tina is the Director of Google Cloud’s North American Business Development team where she leads a team of business development professionals responsible for developing targeted, strategic pipelines in support of the field sales organization’s priorities. Her team works with customers that range from new to Google Cloud to its largest customers, creating new opportunities to engage across the Google solution portfolio. She is a proponent of transparent, collaborative management models that build trust and inspiring teams to achieve extraordinary results.
Before joining Google, Tina invested her passion for developing talent as co-founder and CEO of Silicon Valley Sales Group, specializing in sales training and executive coaching. Arriving in Silicon Valley in the mid-80s, she witnessed the evolution of the computer industry working with businesses like Netscape and Apple. She leveraged that experience into scaling many early and mid-stage startups most recently including Adaptive Insights (acquired by Workday) and TriNet.
Tina holds a B.S. from Cornell University in Civil and Biological Engineering. In 2013, she was honored as one of the Top 100 Women of Influence in Silicon Valley. Tina’s parents were immigrants from Italy who gave her the gift of the Italian language and a love of travel. In her spare time, Tina enjoys mentoring, traveling, cooking, reading and learning about winemaking.
