Meet CapitalG's 2021 Go-To-Market Advisory Board

Core to our philosophy of how to best support growing companies is an unwavering belief that expert advising can help strengthen the three core competencies companies need to scale at pace: go-to-market, product & engineering, people & talent.

To underscore our approach, we are proud to announce our 2021 Enterprise GTM Advisory Board. This cohort of industry experts from across Google that will work closely with, and serve as advisors to, our portfolio companies.

These advisors are 23 leaders with a wide-range of growth expertise across CapitalG’s main sectors: enterprise technology, healthcare, financial services, and retail banking. Beyond offering operational guidance on product and GTM strategy, the advisory board is on a mission to help our portfolio companies connect with customers as well as strengthen the partnerships and relationships crucial to market success.

First, meet our 7 returning board members who were instrumental in helping portfolio companies like UiPath, Oscar and MX take the next step in their journeys over the last year.

Jim Anderson

Jim brings 25+ years of management experience (including 6 globally) in helping companies drive the hyper-growth sales/GTM strategies needed to take advantage of market transitions. Previously, Jim held leadership positions at HPE’s Cloud Service Provider segment, BAE Systems Applied Intelligence, and Cisco.

Mike Henry

Mike brings 20+ years of sales, marketing, and go-to-market expertise. Mike is skilled at helping companies of all sizes drive profitable growth by reaching high-value consumers with compelling solutions and personalized experiences. At Google he has worked across financial services, retail, telecom, and tech— establishing a broad network of strong relationships along the way.

Adam Khalifa

Adam has spent the last 10 years helping to scale US start ups (Wildfire, Stripe) in Europe, and at Google, primarily in the FS sectors in LCS, and now Partnership Solutions. He has experience in start up/scale up GTM approaches in Europe, new business development and fintech. In his current role he’s responsible for building Google’s relationships with priority partner FS companies, and our broader ecosystem engagements in FS across EMEA

Jason Mills

Jason is Director of Customer Engineering at Google Cloud. He is an international technology and business leader with over 25 years of experience delivering innovative technology solutions at Fortune 100 companies.

Jason Nocco

Jason has over 20 years of experience in the technology industry with leading edge startups and large enterprises in hyper-growth mode; primarily focused on driving revenue in new markets from direct and indirect distribution opportunities in the cloud computing space.

Scott Penberthy

Scott is a member of Google Cloud’s CTO office (OCTO), a team of industry ex-CTOs who co-innovate with top customers and product teams. Scott reframes business processes as “tensors in, tensors out,” extracts data before and after a complex system is built, then builds and trains ML models to replicate, improve and optimize business processes.

Ulku Rowe

Ulku is a Technical Director in the Office of the CTO at Google Cloud. At the forefront of Google’s cloud and machine learning capabilities, she enables the financial services industry to take advantage of Google’s technology to fuel their digital transformation. Before joining Google, Ulku was a Managing Director of Technology at J.P. Morgan Chase and Bank of America. Ulku holds an MS degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She serves on the Federal Reserve Bank of New York Fintech Advisory Group.”

Siddhartha Agarwal

As Managing Director of SaaS Partnerships and Co-Innovation, Siddhartha leads Google’s engagement with top SaaS companies to help them re-platform onto GCP, co-innovate with them to improve their offerings leveraging all Google product areas, and orchestrate the joint go-to-market strategy. Over the past 25+ years, he has held product management and strategy leadership roles in large technology companies, has run world wide sales for mid stage venture backed companies, and has founded companies as CTO/VP of Engineering.

Adam Berlew

Adam is an Executive Director in Google Cloud’s AI & Industry Solutions team responsible for strategic commercial relationships and strategy. He brings more than 25 years of go-to-market experience within cloud, technology, telecom, and professional services. Previously Adam held global executive roles launching new product lines and building multi-billion dollar businesses at Broadcom, Equinix and Dell Technologies.

Jenn Bennett

Having spent her career at the leading edge of technology, Jen has led a number of engineering and product organizations leveraging data and analytics to transform a number of industries, including sports, media, manufacturing, and industrial. Currently, Jen serves as Technical Director in Google’s Office of the CTO leading both data focused innovation as well as technology strategy for sustainability.

Jay Bowden

As the Managing Director for Home and Consumer Services clients, Jay leads teams that partner primarily with Fortune 200 companies and their agencies to create joint business plans focused on three business objectives: increasing performance on all Google media platforms,​ driving lead generation, and increasing sales profitably.

Lori Jiménez

Lori has spent the last 20+ years in sales leadership in high growth environments. She has built and led top-performing teams focused on selling enterprise SaaS to both SMB and enterprise accounts. She has extensive background in designing GTM sales models, developing people, and driving operational efficiencies.

David Kaul

As Managing Director of Measurement & Analytics at Google, David helps a wide range of companies from JPMorgan Chase to UiPath transform their marketing efforts into profit centers by making smarter business decisions with analytics and taking strategic action with machine learning. Since joining Google in 2006, he has partnered with some of the largest and fastest growing businesses in the world across 20 countries and 5 continents.

Jennifer Koester

Jennifer is an IP lawyer and innovator known for pioneering and delivering new revenue streams by bridging business needs and technology. For the past 20 years, she has provided counsel, led business development efforts and driven internal operations and external GTM for F100 companies all with a unique ability to integrate legal, technical, business, and operational matters.

Brian LaFaille

Brian has spent 12+ years leading support, success, and account management teams, he’s focused on developing the customer success practice in hyper growth SaaS companies. Most recently Brian was the first customer success hire at Looker which he scaled from $2M to $300M in ARR which led to a successful acquisition by Google Cloud.

Zac Maufe

Zac is the Head of Retail Banking at Google, bringing over 20 years of banking experience to the role which is focused on transforming banking around the world through Google’s innovations. Prior to Google Zac had several leadership roles at Wells Fargo most recently as EVP and Head of Corporate Strategy, Digital Channels and Innovation.

Heidi Restivo

Heidi has been with Google Cloud since the launch of Google Workspace (formerly known as Google Apps and GSuite) in 2007. She was the original sales leader for the Enterprise segment and has lead, designed and contributed to the evolving GTM strategy for Google Cloud since 2007. Prior to that, she spent over 12 years at Oracle in sales and sales leadership.

Eric Harmon Rosenkranz

Eric is the senior leader for Google Cloud’s North America Channel organization, the largest region globally. His organization focuses on delivering hyper-growth results with managed services providers, resellers, global and regional system integrators, private equity firms, and top venture capital firms. Through this work, Eric and his team have advised hundreds of partners on routes to market, B2B partnerships, solution development, and creative deal-making.

Chris Sakalosky

Chris brings deep expertise in the healthcare and life sciences industry, serving as Google Cloud’s Managing Director in the domain. Chris has built new business models, products, and partnerships that have driven revenue increases for global customers.

Todd Schroeder

Todd is the Managing Director of Global Public Sector Digital Strategy. He has spent the last 15 years leading government technology development and implementation. Most recently, he was the VP Government Digital Strategy for Salesforce and before that he was Chief Digital Strategist for Phase One Consulting, now Accenture Federal Services.

Rob Simms

Rob leads the Executive Customer Relations and Acquisitions team, strategically aligned with the Customer Advocacy and Insights organization within Google Cloud.

Bonita C. Stewart

Bonita brings extensive consumer technology and operational experience as her career spans more than 20 years of digital transformation across several industries. Since joining Google in 2006 she has driven adoption of digital technologies within the C-Suite in the US and globally.

Andrew Sun

Andrew has a proven record in strategic business development, helping to create market moving partnerships and products for leading global companies such as Google, Walmart, HP, and Intel. He specializes in accelerating business transformation with disruptive technologies (Cloud, IoT, Mobile), as well as connecting people, technology, product, strategy into a cohesive partnership to deliver growth.
