Kristin Drew is the Chief Financial Officer at CapitalG, where she leads the firm’s global financial strategy, fund operations, and strategic oversight of its capital under management. Kristin oversees the fund’s financial architecture - from investment diligence and complex fund accounting to portfolio reporting - ensuring the firm’s infrastructure scales with institutional-grade rigor, operational excellence and modern technical efficiency. She works in lockstep with the investment committee to partner on the financial execution of new deals and follow-ons, acting as a critical bridge between investment decisions and disciplined fiduciary management. Kristin manages the financial relationship with the firm’s Limited Partner, ensuring seamless operational alignment and reporting transparency.
Prior to CapitalG, Kristin was a cornerstone of Google's finance integration team. She played a pivotal role in some of the company’s most significant transactions, including the acquisition and subsequent divestiture of Motorola Mobility. Beyond the deal table, she served as a hands-on Controller for newly acquired entities.
Kristin began her career in PwC’s Transaction Services practice, advising private equity and corporate clients.
A Certified Public Accountant, Kristin earned her B.S. in Accounting from Santa Clara University. A California native and avid 49ers fan, Kristin lives in the region where she enjoys spending time with her three children and staying active in the local community.
